  We recently stayed 3 nights at the Palm Valley Motel. Although the place was fairly clean, it was a bit like staying at Faulty Towers. We stayed in unit 1and the main issues were:-
  1. There is NO internet even though the receptionist told me they recently upgraded to NBN. We had absolutely no signal at all.
  2. The front window locking mechanism was broken.
  3. Turned the bedside lamp on and it sparked up with a flash and bang.
  4. Had a cold shower on the second night?...so no hot water at all.

  I've stayed here multiple times on my way to the Great Barrier Reef and every time the stay has been an absolute blessing. Quit cool with great facilities and very reasonably priced. Clean and well maintained. Management are accommodating for late arrivals as well... Thank you Palm Valley.

  Tv was modern but much smaller than I remember. Unable to lock front windows. Complained, but told they didn't know about it, but then "yeah, they're all like that". With prompting, provided sticks to put in the runners which were taken from one of the other units. Pest control record shows it was last done in 2002, and it shows. We had some large cockroaches crawling around the walls at night. Air conditioning was affecting my throat until I cleaned the filters and sprayed the mould with Glen 20. They provided a wifi password but we were unable to connect at any time during our stay. When I asked if there was something I was missing in connecting, they just said no, it just works when it wants. Definitely gone downhill since our last stay many years ago, and will definitely not be staying there again.

  Great place to stay, clean, larger than normal rooms,all good. Would definitely stay there again.

  Great place always clean and tidy comfortable bed crisp white sheets great pool close to beach and shopping. Love this place. Stay here everytime I come to Tannum Sands
